The annual Rosewood Art and Music Festival is one of our favorite Columbia events mainly because it isn’t big. Rosewood calls it a “micro-urban festival” and it’s a neighborhood scaled day of music, crafts, art, and vendors that doesn’t aspire to be a Burning Man. The free-admission festival well attended and draws folks from all over the midlands, but you aren’t fighting for parking or stressing out about lines.

The music line-up, organized by musician/event producer Dave Britt combines the rootsy ethic of Rosewood with a broader appeal that invites attendees to sit and enjoy the afternoon in the under-appreciated Rosewood Park.

Music

This year’s Rosewood Art and Music Festival line-up is headlines by Columbian John Wesley Satterfield, who is in the process of recording a new full-length album Ain’t for Sale: the Album.
