COMMUNITY SPONSORSHIPS AND REMOTES
Subject to time and space availability, we are able to act as an in-kind media sponsor for community groups and events. We evaluate requests based upon the same criteria we utilize to evaluate requests for Public Service Announcements. We prefer events and organizations that address as wide a group as possible and that are compatible with our mission, audience, and/or reach underserved audiences. As such, we generally will not consider sports teams, church events and class/family reunions.
As a non-profit, we regret that we are unable to honor requests for cash or merhcandise donations or purchase advertisements in programs and the like.
An in-kind WXRY Media Sponsorship will include an in-kind dollar-for-dollar match of the requested sponsorship level in on-air announcements. If you are using other paid competitive media, we ask that you consider financially supporting our organization as well. Requests that come with financial support will also include an additional in-kind component on our behalf.
Requests for remote broadcasts are also evaluated using the above criteria. We also evaluate whether a remote is the best vehicle for driving attendance or participation at an event. In addition, because there is significant labor involved in a remote broadcast both in set-up and post-remote tear-down, we regret that we cannot honor every remote request.
