During this week’s (8/6/23) episode of WXRY Discovery, Brent and Varholy played two new songs by local favorite Prettier than Matt. Despite both members of the duo becoming new parents and keeping up with a full performance schedule, Prettier than Matt squeezed in writing and recording new music. Jeff (“Not Matt”) Pitts says the recording process was a little untraditional for the duo. A lyric video for the song “Breathe” is due out this week.
Our On the Reel on the Air segment featured two live performances with a 1970’s folk-rock vibe (think Gordon Lightfoot, etc.) from Chris Compton who celebrated a birthday this past Saturday.
